Use of Basket Muzzles

Over  recent  weeks,  we  have  seen  a  spate  of  dogs  that  have  eaten  silly  objects which  have  caused  serious  intestinal  problems  and  occasionally  life-‐threatening blockages  necessitating  major  surgery.

Some  of  these  animals  have  done  similar  things  before  and  the  owners  have  been aware  of  the  risk.  Sadly,  sitting  dogs  down  and  trying  to  reason  with  them  is unlikely  to  be  a  successful  preventative  measure!

If  you  have  a  dog  that  is  a  known  scavenger,  why  not  consider  using  a  Baskerville type  muzzle?  These  are  the  basket  type  muzzles  that  still  allow  your  dog  to breath  naturally  and  to  drink  but  will  physically  stop  them  from  picking  up  and swallowing  objects  that  can  cause  them  serious  harm.

As  always,  prevention  is  better  than  cure  and we  feel  sure  that  your  dog  would thank  you if  they  knew  what you  were  trying  to  do,  and  the  same  goes  for  your bank  manager!
