London Marathon 2016 - Anna's grand total.........
Huge congratulations to one of our receptionists Anna Holden, who took on the challenge of running this years London Marathon. She did it to raise money for The Sussex Snowdrop Trust, a charity close to her heart.
In just under 6 hours, this is a massive achievement and we are all so proud of her!
AlphaPet were behind Anna 100% and we had donation buckets at all 3 of our surgeries. On behalf of Anna, we would like thank our very generous clients who donated £344. This amount, together with the money she raised through her just giving page, meant that she has raised a grand total of £1991.80!
Anna said on her JustGiving page, “I am honoured to be running the London Marathon this year in memory of my very good friends' son Joshua Court who lost his little life to cancer in 2002 at only 18 months old. Helen and Michael were supported both financially and emotionally by the Sussex Snowdrop Trust during Josh's illness. The charity provide care to local families who have children with life threatening or terminal illnesses providing care at home by specialist nurses together with financial support.
Although my training is well underway I have never ever done a challenge like this before and it will take all my effort and strength to get round the 26 miles but I am determined to do Helen, Michael and Snowdrop proud and raise as much money as possible, so please dig deep!”
Well she certainly did them proud. Well done Anna - an incredible achievement.
