We offer a wide range of services throughout our three surgeries ...
This service is manned by AlphaPet staff meaning that, should you need us, you will be talking to a veterinary surgeon from this practice who has access to your pet's clinical notes.
- For emergencies out of normal hours, telephone the normal surgery number 01243 842832
you will be connected to an ansaphone which will give you the mobile number for the duty veterinary surgeon for that day or night. Call that number and you will speak directly to the vet who will be able to assist you.
- Late surgeries to 7pm Monday to Friday
- Saturday surgeries until 6pm
- Sunday surgeries 10am to 1pm
We are happy to make home visits where necessary, but please remember that we are limited in the amount of equipment and drugs which we can carry. In most cases, it is better for you and your pet to come to one of the surgeries if at all possible.
Our nursing team runs various clinics, such as Dental Clinics, Weight Clinics, Senior Pet Clinics and Tortoise Clinics.
They are also able to carry out suture removals, claw clipping, microchipping and routine post operative checks.
Like their human equivalents, our qualified nurses also carry out a number of minor surgical procedures as well as many non-surgical procedures such as radiographs and electrocardiographs.
As well as emergency medicine and providing treatment when your pet is sick, we also provide a wide range of help and advice to keep your pet healthy.
We provide a full range of vaccinations for all dogs, cats and rabbits, together with appropriate advice. We provide vaccinations on an individual risk basis to make sure that we do not vaccinate unnecessarily. Click on the links to see more details for particular species.
We also provide a full microchip identification, vaccination and advice service for PETS Travel Scheme to allow you and your pet to travel abroad safely. Click on the PETS Travel Scheme link for further information.
We provide behaviour counselling and treatment for many of the common behaviour conditions found in dogs, cats and rabbits.
We run FREE puppy socialisation parties for clients with new puppies. These are hugely popular and great fun and you can always tell a puppy that has attended them - they are the ones dragging their owners back into AlphaPet!
We stock a wide range of pet care products at competitive prices, including some more unusual items which many clients find make great presents. Why not come in and browse?
We provide a complete microchip identification service for almost all species of pet animals from the more usual dogs and cats, to parrots and tortoises.
As veterinary surgeons, we have the training and depth of knowledge to provide expert professional advice on how to feed your pet properly to ensure they live a long and healthy life. Whether it be our qualified nurses or our veterinary surgeons, the advice you receive from us will be the best and most up to date.
AlphaPet provides veterinary advice to Brent Lodge Wildlife Trust and to members of the public FREE OF CHARGE. Whether it be a wood pigeon, a common gull or a grey seal, a badger or a dolphin, we are happy to deal with all these animals and hopefully return them back to the wild when they are fit and well again.
Repeat Prescription Policy Certain medications that are prescribed for your pet may be for long-term treatment.
