AlphaPet Fun Dog Show

The first AlphaPet Fun Dog Show was held at West Meads on Saturday 7th August and what a success it was!

It is estimated that around 500 people attended during the four hours it ran with lots of positive comments being received by the organisers.

Apart from the dog show, there were lots of other stalls to visit, chances to get up close to a snowy owl and a tawny owl as well as handling corn snakes and a variety of small furry animals. Even a donkey paid a visit!

There were dog handling and dog training demonstrations as well as dog agility demonstrations and a chance to put your own dog through its paces on a well set out course.

All the money raised is going to help the Moon Bear Rescue charity which is working to stop the terrible torture of moon bears in Asia. If you want to find out more about this very worthy charity, please click on this link: So far, it looks as though we will have raised close to £800!
